Most of the state designs feature the outline of the state with the word "home" incorporated into the border. For Wyoming and Colorado, the state name has also been added, but is optional. For Hawaii, the word home is in the water near the islands and not part of the border.
For most sizes, the outline is done in satin embroidery. For the 2.5 inch size, the outline is bean stitch.
